Impact & Disaster Prevention

By understanding solid collision phenomena through experiments and analysis, we aim to develop buffer structures and understand the behavior of structures in the event of natural disasters.

◆ Research into localized damage of concrete structures subjected to high-speed impacts by flying objects

In recent years, the importance of protective structures to protect human lives from natural disasters has increased. Therefore, we are conducting experiments and analyses to investigate the destruction of concrete slabs caused by high-speed collisions with flying objects.

Past Achievements

◆ Research into the impact absorption effect of bridge fall prevention devices

r4.jpg
Bridge collapse prevention devices are required to have the function of mitigating impact loads during earthquakes.
Therefore, we are investigating the impact absorption effect of shock absorber rubber for bridge fall prevention devices through experiments and analysis.
